Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, receiving rave reviews from both music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, was released for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are among her best-known songs. Katy Perry's praise for her song Runaway via a blog post added to the musician's recognition. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical memory involves finding a small piano in her basement and bewildered by the sound it created. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music, not for work or for a passion and as a way to develop. She began writing songs of her own. Bjork and Leonard Cohen are among her favourite songwriters. After her mom told her that her songs would not just help her achieve fame but also make others see their value to the world and appreciate the possibilities for her songs She decided to start performing publicly. Piano was her first instrument, at six. She began writing music when she turned nine. The family did not have any idea until she was 14. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. The only thing she loves is writing music. For her, the music she writes is her way of feeling anything.
